Water Baby

Last weekend we took Tiegan to the Deseret Peak Aquatic Center for his first swimming pool experience. As we were driving to the pool, the weather was about 80 , sunny, and BEAUTIFUL. As we got there and paid, some clouds had covered, but we were still optimistic. After we had been in the pool for, oh maybe 3 full minutes, the Lifeguards all started blwoing their whistles telling everybody to get out of the water. Sure enough, there was LIGHTNING all around us. BUMMER! Luckily, after waiting for about 10 minutes it cleared up and they let us back in. Tiegan LOVED the water!!

Who knew getting a baby ready for swimming was such a big task??

First he needed his swimming suit and shirt

Then he needed some stylish sunglasses.

Don't forget a cute hat and generous amounts of sunscreen.
* Notice how scarily white (yet nicely toned) my Dad's legs are. Later that night his legs were burning, and when he lifted up his pant legs they were more red than a lobster. Poor guy!

Add in a fun crab floatie, and we are ready!

Isn't it amazing how doing things with kids is so much more difficult, but so much more fun? Your poor dad--what a good grandpa to get sunburned for Tiegan! I love Tiegan's swimming suit.

He's the cutest little thing in those sunglasses and hat. Looks like he'll be a little water bug like his mom.
